Chogha Zanbil and Band-e Kaisar
On your second day in Iran, you will explore the Chogha Zanbil ziggurat, built around 1250 BC by the king Untash-Napirisha, to honor the god Inshushinak. It is one of the few existent ziggurats outside of Mesopotamia.
After that you will travel close-by, to Shushtar, to see the beautiful irrigation canals and the Band-e Kaisar (Caesar's dam), that were built by the Romans around 260−270 AD.
